The University of Virginia invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in Modern Korean History (19th century to the present). Area of specialization is open. Requirements include Ph.D in History, Korean Studies, or a related field completed by time of appointment, demonstrated excellence in scholarship, a commitment to both undergraduate teaching (survey and upper division levels) and graduate education, and an interest in participating in the college's interdisciplinary program in East Asian Studies. The anticipated start date of the position is August 27, 2019.
