Dear Br. Anthony,

Odds are virtually nil that your friend will find a keyboard with the
French layout and the Korean letters printed on it, too. The good news is
that what's printed on the keyboard doesn't necessarily have to have
anything to do with what gets input when you press a key, as this is
determined by a keyboard translation table your system software or
application uses to turn the scan codes the keyboard sends to the computer
into character codes. If your friend is a touch typist, he won't be
looking at the keyboard anyway, so if he has the right software, he should
be able to type in French and Korean at the same time. The problem would
be what sort of encoding is used by the software. If it's Unicode, there
should be no conflict whatsoever; but if the Korean is encoded in the
conventional _wans^onghy^ong_ or _chohaphy^ong_ system, there will be a
conflict between certain Korean character codes and vowels with
diacritical marks and the cedilla.
