Well over a decade ago, I wrote a history of science and religion  
under the Chosŏn dynasty for a proposed Cambridge History of Korea.  
That history has never come out, and I'm not sure it ever will. I'd  
hate to have all the work I put into that paper go to waste. So I have  
uploaded a pdf fie of it to my website, http://ubcdbaker.shawwebspace.ca/
If you go to the "as-yet unpublished work" page--it's in the middle of  
a list of other unpublished materials--you can download it.

That paper is not quite up-to-date. The last time I updated it to  
incorporate the latest scholarship was about five or six years ago.  
Nevertheless, there is nothing else like it available in English, so I  
thought I should make it available.

That website also has pdf files of many of my published articles, some  
of which have appeared in journals that are hard to find outside of  
Korea.

Any comments, criticism, or corrections of any of the material on that  
site is welcome.
