Dear friends and colleagues,

Once again Nicolas Levi of Warsaw has asked me
to post on his behalf. I'm happy to do this, though I
am not sure why he doesn't do so directly. See below.

I've never met Mr Levi, and he modestly doesn't mention
his interesting-looking website: _www.northkorea.pl/_
(http://www.northkorea.pl/) .
Even those of us whose Polish is rusty can enjoy the
pictures of Kim Pyong-il.

Anyone in Seoul who shares these interests, please
contact Nicolas directly: _nicolas_levi at yahoo.fr_
(mailto:nicolas_levi at yahoo.fr)

Best wishes
Aidan

Dear Aidan,

How are you? Who do you think will the next number one in NK? According to
me it will be Kim Jong Nam, but he will be jst a puppet of the entire Kim Jong
Il family. I' writing to you as far, as I will be in Seoul next month
between the 4 and the 20th April. You may post it on a website/forum as you made
last time concerning my requirement about Kim Pyong Il.. I'm in the half of my
dissertation (about Kim Sung branch in the Kim Il Sung Family) and I'
writing a biography of Kim Pyong Il. I wish I can meet some people during my stay
in Seoul, who may speak Englsih French or Polish.

Thanks and regards
Nicolas

He further adds:
I wish I could met some specialists about NK, because I want to have a
global overview about NK from other people. In Poland we have few specialists
....

Dear Sir,

My name is Nicolas Levi. I'm affiliated to the Polish Academy of
Sciences.I'm writing a doctorate about Kim Pyong Il, half brother of Kim
Jong Il, who is
ambassador of North Korea in Poland. He was said to be a rival of Kim Jong
Il concerning the run the north Korean throne.

I'm especially looking for contacts with :
- specialists of North Korea, and especially people who had contacts with
the Kim Family or  people interested on the Kim  Family;

- defectors (email or if you can be an intermediate between me and
defectors) who may have met him and may have an opinion about Kim Pyong Il.

Can you help me in this way?

My subject is quite complicated because I've got few info. Each information
can be useful even some anecdots.I met him a few time, I met his family
etc...
I send you a list of questions for which you or other people that you
would
recommend me and who may have an answer.

- According to you what is the character of Kim Pyong Il ? What is your
feeling about him? Who are his friends in North Korea or his supporters
- Who were his friends in North Korea?
- Have you got some infos about his wife?
- Have you got other contacts (such as defectors) /book references which
can
be useful for my research?

Thank you very much for your help I will appreciate it, and if you've got
some queries please contact me.

Thanks you in advance

Nicolas Levi
