*Call for Papers* Methodological inquiry

The Graduate Journal of Asia-Pacific Studies is a peer-reviewed
electronic journal that showcases the original work of graduate
students. Taking advantage of online publishing, GJAPS aims to be at
once dynamic, interdisciplinary and innovative. GJAPS will publish
thought-provoking interdisciplinary articles, reviews, commentary and
visual works that engage critical issues, themes and debates related to
the Asia-Pacific region and its peoples.

Submissions are invited from graduate students for a special issue of
the Graduate Journal of Asia-Pacific Studies: Methodological inquiry

While methods are developing at a fast pace, scholarly debates
surrounding the validity of both old and new methods are also rapidly
growing. The process behind knowledge production is highly subjective and
interdisciplinary. Yet, there are not enough places for us to converse
about how that fieldwork gets prepared, carried out, analysed, and
finally written. For the new issue of GJAPS, contributors are invited to
consider their methodological work in the Asia-Pacific region. We ask
for papers which illustrate original and innovative methodological
works. Most significantly, we are looking for papers which evaluate the
strength and limitations of the research processes. For more
information, please visit the journal's website: gjaps at auckland.ac.nz

Email submissions to the Editor, Jane Lee, as attachments using ‘Word
Template for GJAPS Authors’ (found under Notes for Contributors in our
website). Submissions should be received by 10th January, 2011. Email to
gjaps at auckland.ac.nz
