North Korean leader Kim Jong-il died Saturday at the age of 70. The
North's official Korean Central News Agency on Monday morning said He
died of a heart attack caused by stress and overwork while on a train
on his way to a field inspection.

Earlier the KCNA said it would make a special announcement early
Monday morning but gave no further details.

There had been speculation about the reclusive dictator's failing
health and impending death since he had a stroke in 2008.

State media said the mourning period will last for 10 days until Dec. 29.
