Dear list members,
We are delighted to announce the publication of the Summer 2018 issue of the Korea Journal (vol. 58, no. 2), which is dedicated to the special topic of “Queer/Korean Studies as Critique: New Voices of Empowerment.”
. . . Queer Studies is a relatively new but rapidly diversifying field that offers much to the critically engaged study of Korea and its diasporas.
Given its status in the modern world as an Asian, postcolonial, postauthoritarian, and capitalist/socialist divided society, Korea presents itself as an instructive site from which to question the US-centered assumptions
that protect Queer Studies from a critical reorientation toward the non-West and the global South. . . from On This Topic
The abstracts and full text are available at www.ekoreajournal.net.
We welcomes submission of scholarly articles or book reviews that make new contributions to the field of Korean Studies.
Also, we also would like to invite you to be guest editors for a special issue of the Korea Journal.
