American composer Mr. Michael Fine composed 7' 19" long concert overture
for the Daehanmun (대한문), the gate for the Deoksugung Palace
in 2017.

The work was motivated and inspired by a significant role the gate played
in connecting the old and new worlds, as the composer reflects;
"Although surrounded by modern buildings, the Gate opens to the graceful
and elegant palace grounds taking one back to another Korea before western
influences helped shape the modern country. The overture reflects both
worlds, an overture to an imaginary Korean drama telling a story of two
different times but connected by a common thread."

Here is the Youtube video Mr. Fine uploaded,

Mr. Fine composed another short piece on Seoul landmark, Namsan: Trio for
English horn, clarinet, and Cello (3' long) in 2014.
