The Northeast Asia Council of the AAS solicits applications from colleges or universities to invite a distinguished scholar of Korean Studies to give public lectures on their campuses, to meet with teachers and students, and possibly to offer advice to administrators regarding the creation or strengthening of Korean Studies at their institutions. For the 2002-2003 academic year, colleges or universities located in the southeastern United States with few offerings or small programs on Korea are particularly encouraged to apply. NEAC will provide the lecturer's honorarium and travel expenses. The institutions are expected to make all local arrangements for the lecturer, including the provision of meals and lodging expenses.
