</b>The Department of East Asian Languages and Literature at the
University of Wisconsin-Madison announces a full-time Visiting Assistant
Professor position in Korean language for the 2004-05 academic
year. Applicants for the position must have a Ph.D., or expect to
have the Ph.D., by the beginning of this appointment, August 23,
2004. The Ph.D. should be in Korean linguistics, language pedagogy
or a related field, and the applicant should have native or near-native
fluency in Korean and experience in language teaching. Duties of
the position involve teaching four courses, including Elementary and
Second-year Korean, with the possibility of teaching one course in Korean
culture. There is the possibility of extending the
appointment.<br><br>
