Studies Conference Japan (ASCJ) will be held June 18-19, 2005 at
Sophia University$B+c(Bs Ichigaya Campus. The ASCJ, a branch of the
U.S.-based Association for Asian Studies, features a
multi-disciplinary range of panels on Japan and other Asian countries.
Special highlights this year include the keynote speech by Dr. Yoneo
Ishii, Emeritus Professor of Kyoto University, on the topic $B!c(BOrient$B#c(B
to $B!c(BArea$B#c(B: Asian Studies in Japan$B#c(B, and a workshop on electronic
