<DIV class=RTE>Dear Koreanists,<BR>I am sening this notice again, for it is hard to read the former one<BR>posted last week.<BR><BR><STRONG>Call for papers: ¡°The Great Revival Movement in Korea, 1903-1908</STRONG>¡±<BR><BR>The Annual Conference of the Luce Foundation Korean Christianity Program<BR>will be held in the middle of April at the UCLA Center for Korean Studies. <BR><BR>This year¡¯s theme is ¡°The Great Revival Movement in Korea, 1903-1908.¡± <BR>The great revival in Pyongyang in 1907 was one of the most important<BR>events in the history of Christianity in Korea and East Asia. We welcome<BR>the academic papers on the Korean Great Revival Movement, celebrating its <BR>coming centenary. <BR><BR>We request proposals on the theme for possible presentations at the one<BR>or two-day conference. As this is the second conference on the same, we<BR>need papers on more specific aspects
of the great revival movement, for<BR>example, Korean Christians¡¯ concept of the sins during the movement, its <BR>liturgical indigenization, its socio-political impact, its leaders¡¯<BR>pheumatology, and the Bible Study Classes and revival. <BR><BR><STRONG>Deadline for submissions of the proposal: February 18, 2006<BR></STRONG><BR>The Center will provide the selected presenters with airfare,<BR>accommodation, and honorary.
