A BRIEF NOTE

It would be beneficial to all of us, as regards to the number of
email messages we have to open every day, if we could please
(a) limit the messages that regard *basic* research everyone can
do online even without ever visiting a library, and (b)
replying to such messages, if you choose to, by replying to the SENDER
rather than to the list. Even though we let below quoted message
through, for example, it would be nice if you could email the sender
directly in such case. (Although AAS abstracts since 1995 can be found
at the AAS home page, all AKSE info can be found on the AKSE home page
...full _Newsletter_ since 1998, and anything else could have been
researched by writing to the email addresses listed as contact on each
organization's website.)

Thanks for your understanding.

I am assisting with a project that will
compile some (hopefully very useful) information on the various Korean
Studies conferences. I need to make a master list that
will show all the wonderful academic work that's being done, but I've
had some problem with finding old conference programs on-line.
While I have found some, I still need so many more. I think the
biggest problem is that many conference webpages only work for one
year (or a few months) and then when the webhost cleans
"house" the conference page is considered outdated and
deleted.
