<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Since some of us are finishing Spring semesters and
beginning the business of summer research etc. I wanted to remind everyone that
I am representing the Korea Field for the annual argument over the AAS 2007
Meetings Program in Sept. While the call for panels is not officially out
on the AAS Website, the usual deadline is around August 1 for panel
applications. There is also a button on the AAS Website (<A
href="http://www.aasianst.org/">http://www.aasianst.org/</A>) for people to
post interest in either organizing or joining a panel. We have reached the
physical limits of the number of panels that can be added to the program (in
fact, there are probably too many now) and there is always competition between
fields for space. We never know what field will be aggressively lobbying
for more panels at the expense of others, so please be thinking of ideas and
work on panels applications now so I have the best possible proposals from which
to argue. </FONT></DIV>
