<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: black; mso-font-kerning: 0pt"><font face="Times New Roman"><br />Since 1992, when official diplomatic relationship was forged, economic connection between Republic of Korea (ROK) and has been developing with leaps and bounds. has maintained the status as ROK’s largest trade partner and the largest consuming market of “Made in ” for two consecutive years. ROK has ranked the fourth largest trade partner and the second largest buyer of , has also become the largest investment destination of Korean enterprises. The growing trend remains robust. </font></span><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: black; mso-font-kerning: 0pt"></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; COLOR: black; mso-font-kerning: 0pt"><font face="Times New Roman">Although the two countries have reaped a bumper harvest in their economic cooperation and the statistics continue to indicate vigorous growth in major fields. However, this cannot overshadow the existing problems. The “Double Dissymmetry” in bilateral economic exchange, the adjustment of economic structure and policies of the two governments, the changes of public opinion on bilateral economic development, the surging economic nationalism, imbalance of technological up-gradation, and gaming in regional and international relations, all are going to exert their influence upon the orientation of the bilateral economic cooperation. If improperly handled, these may pose barriers, difficulties or setbacks, and may threaten to derail the development of bilateral economic relations. </font></span><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt"><font face="Times New Roman">With a view of future, the two countries should strengthen their cooperation in the existing economic fields and tackle the problems they are confronted with in effective and efficient ways.
