<DIV align=left>We invite paper proposals for the KRG panel for this year's AAR
meeting in Montreal. The proposal may deal with:</DIV>
<DIV align=left>-sacred time, space, or cosmology in Korean religions;</DIV>
<DIV align=left>-concepts of time in different Korean religions;</DIV>
<DIV align=left>-religious meaning of place in Korean religions;</DIV>
<DIV align=left>-religion and revolution, eschatology, and utopia in Korean
religions; and</DIV>
<DIV align=left>-Korean religions and fiction or globalization.</DIV>
<DIV align=left> </DIV>
<DIV align=left>We also invite papers for a potential joint panel with the
Daoist Studies Group on all aspects of Korean Daoism. Especially welcome
are proposals that focus on the state of Daoist Studies in Korea; Korean
adaptation and uses of Chinese Daoist scriptural traditions; the popularization
of Daoist ideals and relations between Daoism and the state in Kory0 and Chos0n
periods.</DIV>

<DIV align=left>The deadline for submitting proposals is March 1, 2009.</DIV>

<DIV align=left>5. Click Online (for the method of submission).</DIV>
<DIV align=left>6. Click a New Proposal</DIV>
<DIV align=left>7. Click Individual Paper Proposal</DIV>
<DIV align=left>8. Provide the requested information.</DIV>

<DIV align=left>Participation requirements at the Annual Meeting:</DIV>
<DIV align=left>Membership is not required to submit a proposal in response to
the Call for Papers. However, all participants accepted to the program
must be current (2009) AAR members and registered for the Annual Meeting by June
15, 2009. Membership waivers are available to participants working outside
the field of the study of religion or participants from developing
nations. Contact the program unit chair for more details on how to arrange
a waiver.</DIV>
