He received his doctorate in 1927 for a 96 page long dissertation entitled "Die Landwirtschaft von Korea" [The Agriculture of Korea] (Dr. oec. publ., Rechts- und Staatswissenschaftliche Fakultät: Nationalökonomie) that dealt with the natural basis, political and social
organization, products, foreign trade, and performance of Korean agriculture as of the mid-1920s. The dissertation itself was printed as<br><br>"Die Landwirtschaft von Korea", by Sang-uk Han, Zürich: Hans A. Gutzwiller [Druck], 1927. 96p.<br><br>Its table of conents is as follows:<br><br>1. Die natürlichen Grundlagen. 2. Staatliche und soziale Organisation. 3. Die Landwirtschaft Koreas. 4. Die landwirtschaftliche Produktion und der Aussenhandel. 5. Die Förderung der Landwirtschaft. Bibliography: p.3.<br><br>I am particularly interested in knowing <br><br>(1) his year of death <br><br>(2) his most important contributions to the development of Korea -- assuming that he returned to Korea following his study in Switzerland and that he rose to some prominence during the decades that followed. <br><br>Would you please note that I do NOT need detailed information.
