<p><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"> </font><span lang="EN-US"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2">The Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies would like to invite applications for its 2011 fellowships. The fellowships provide Korean Studies researchers with the opportunity to use the Kyujanggak collection as well as other resources at Seoul National University to carry out their research projects or prepare a manuscript for publication. Three kinds of fellowships are available: the junior fellowship for PhD students (three months), the fellowship A for Korean Studies faculty, and the fellowship B for recent PhD graduates without a full-time position (six or ten months). </font></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><span lang="EN-US"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2">Applications should include a cover letter, five-page research proposal (two page PhD summary for junior fellowships), application form (available online), full CV, two writing samples (one for junior fellowships), and two letters of recommendation (for junior fellowships, one should be by the academic supervisor and one by an SNU faculty member). Fellows are expected to be in residence for the full term of their fellowship, contribute to the academic activities at Kyujanggak, and submit their work to be considered for publication in the <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Seoul Journal of Korean Studies</em> (articles) or the Seoul-California Series in Korean Studies (monographs).</font></span></p>
