<P style="LINE-HEIGHT: 120%; MARGIN: 0in 0in 4.3pt" class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face=Calibri>The Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies at the <SPAN id=lw_1288309639_2 class=yshortcuts>University of Illinois</SPAN> is pleased to announce the following Fellowship opportunity.<BR><BR><SPAN style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #366388 2px dotted; CURSOR: hand" id=lw_1288309639_3 class=yshortcuts>KOREA FOUNDATION</SPAN> POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS 2011-2012<BR><BR>The Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign welcomes applications for postdoctoral study at the University of Illinois funded by the Korea Foundation's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. Applicants will apply simultaneously to the Korea Foundation and the University of Illinois; selection by the University of Illinois does not guarantee <SPAN id=lw_1288309639_4 class=yshortcuts>Korea Foundation selection</SPAN>, but the University of Illinois will advise the Korea
Foundation of its selected candidate(s). Scholars must have received their Ph.D. in a subject related to Korea within five years of their application; scholars who do not currently hold a regular faculty position are eligible to apply. Applicants must have received their Ph.D. degree prior to the start of their fellowship research. This program supports research in the <SPAN id=lw_1288309639_5 class=yshortcuts>humanities and social sciences</SPAN>. The post-doctoral stipend for a 12-month period will be determined in accordance with <SPAN id=lw_1288309639_6 class=yshortcuts>University of Illinois regulations</SPAN>. This fellowship cannot be combined with other sources of support, including other fellowships and grants. The University of Illinois has hosted 3 <SPAN id=lw_1288309639_7 class=yshortcuts>Korea Foundation Postdoctoral Fellows</SPAN>, currently Nicholas Harkness (Ph.D., Chicago, anthropology, <SPAN id=lw_1288309639_8 class=yshortcuts>Harvard
