As people may recall Hendrick Hamel mentions Chinese in Korea. After all
they had Chinese landlords (who treated them badly) when they arrived in
Seoul <br><br>
As for the lifeguards of the king they consisted of Chinese and Japanese
(fugitives?) and only Park Yon (Jan Janse Weltevree) as non-Asian and for
3 years Hamel and his mates were part of those life guards. <br><br>
I don't know if there are any statistics about the numbers but one would
expect that somewhere (hidden?) there are some statistics about their
numbers<br><br>
