South Korean cinema is attracting worldwide attention like never before. The
past few years have also seen an exponential growth in the popularity of South
Korean screen culture in Asia and beyond. The recent ‘Korean Wave’ </span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";mso-fareast-font-family:

cinema and popular music has generated a remarkable amount of interest in Korea
and its ‘culture.’ North Korea also has a long-established cinematic tradition
