Interesting question. One follow-up: What and who is/are 'youth'? It would be difficult to get the ages of those who took part in the 19th century uprisings, but might there be documents, calls to action, aimed at 'youth'?

Dear KS List members,
The political activities of Korean youth during the Japanese occupation of Korea and in the movement for democracy in the south are well-documented but I'm curious, are there any instances of the involvement of youth in organized political uprisings prior to
1910? If so, do you have any suggestions of where I might turn to learn more about them?
Thanks in advance.
