launched with the support of the “Brain Korea 21 Education and Research Group
for Korean History” at Korea University, and published by the Center for Korean
History. The Journal promotes original research and new analyses and
interpretations through articles, book reviews, and translated scholarly works
related to Korean history.<span style> </span>The IJKH
editors and editorial board are committed to serving its international authors
and readers, and to the development of Korean studies both in and outside of
Korea. </span></p><font face="±¼¸²" size="3">

August 30<sup>th</sup> of each year) and accepts paper submissions throughout

double-spaced and use the Chicago Manual of Style (16th edition). Please use
the McCune-Reischauer system as the primary system to Romanize Korean-language

The Journal has been published continuously since its inception in 2000 and has printed articles from well-known scholars in Korea, Japan, the U.S., China, Great Britain and other locales. The Journal is planning a special theme issue examining paddy agriculture and overall economic development in China, Korea, and Japan from the 16th through the 19th centuries with particular focus on such issues as trends in the development of wet field agriculture, aspects of regional/local development, and elite orientations. </font></span></p>
