<div dir="ltr"><p align="left" class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:left"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Garamond","serif";font-size:12pt">The<i> International Journal of Korean History<b> </b></i></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Garamond","serif";font-size:12pt">is an international scholarly journal, launched with the support of the “Brain Korea 21 Education and Research Group for Korean History” at Korea University, and published by the Center for Korean History. The Journal promotes original research and new analyses and interpretations through articles, book reviews, and translated scholarly works related to Korean history.<span>  </span>The IJKH editors and editorial board are committed to serving its international authors and readers, and to the development of Korean studies both in and outside of Korea. </span></p>

<span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Garamond","serif";font-size:12pt">The Journal is published biannually (on February 27^th and August 30^th of each year) and accepts paper submissions throughout the year.</span></p>

<font face="굴림" size="3"></font><p align="left" class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;text-align:left"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:"Garamond","serif";font-size:12pt">Article manuscripts, including endnotes, the abstract, and keywords, should not exceed 8,000 words. <span> </span>Please include a 150 word abstract at the beginning of the document.<span>  </span>The text and footnotes of manuscripts must be double-spaced and use the Chicago Manual of Style (16th edition). Please use the McCune-Reischauer system as the primary system to Romanize Korean-language names and terms. </span></p>

<div><font face="굴림" size="3"><p><span lang="EN-US"><font face="arial narrow,sans-serif">The International Journal of Korean History cordially invites scholars to submit manuscripts for its August 2014 issue by July 1, 2014.  The Journal has been published continuously since its inception in 2000 and has printed articles from well-known scholars in Korea, Japan, the U.S., China, Great Britain and other locales. The Journal is planning a special theme issue examining paddy agriculture and overall economic development in China, Korea, and Japan from the 16th through the 19th centuries with particular focus on such issues as trends in the development of wet field agriculture, aspects of regional/local development, and elite orientations.  </font></span></p>
