The series of events introduced the two rare documentaries to the U.S. for the first time at ten selected venues in the U.S.. The zainichi film director Oh Choonggong and the organizer felt overwhelmed with positive response and continuing inquiries concerning the topic and the films since then. Encouraged by the audience's interest and researchers' request in Korea, Director Oh plans to appear in person for his film and talk event at 3pm next Tuesday (7/15) in Seoul. I'd appreciate it very much if you could inform interested students and colleagues in Korea about this rare opportunities to see his documentary films and meet the director. The audience will also meet many Japanese and Korean witnesses of the mayhem through the films while learning about the recent development in knowledge and memory production concerning the topic.
