may have known your grandfather. It'll be useful to provide his
unit, as specific as possible (regiment, battalion, company), and
dates of his service in the Marines as well as in Korea. Also, the
Purple Heart Association could be of help

could get specific information about my father's
service in the Korean War. He was in the Marines
and was injured. I have a picture of him receiving
a Purple Heart while recuperating in a hospital in
Japan in October 1952.
