senior advisor to the executive leadership of the Center on these issues. The Asia Program addresses a broad range of long term issues related to the Asia and Pacific region, including political, social, and economic development; the role of women; the aspirations
of the younger generation; democratic and autocratic tendencies in governance; and U.S. policy toward the Asia and Pacific region. The Asia Program’s activities are intended to complement those of the Kissinger Institute on China-US relations. Most of these
efforts take place within the Center itself in Washington, DC., but workshops, meetings and/or conferences are also held in the Asia and Pacific region or in other American or international cities.<span style="color:#1F497D;"></span></span></p>
