We write to inform you of an upcoming symposium at UCLA titled “Empire of Others” to be held March 20–22, 2017.  The three-day event will feature keynote lectures by Karatani Kōjin and Lisa Yoneyama and brings together leading scholars of Japanese empire from


 East Asia, Southeast Asia, and North America.</div>
