Applications are invited for a Senior Lecturer in Korean
Studies. The University wishes to appoint a scholar of high
international distinction with a proven record in academic
leadership, research and teaching innovation, and knowledge
exchange and engagement who will lead on the development of
Korean Studies across the University. Depending on research
speciality, the post will be based either in the School of
Literatures, Languages and Cultures or the School of Social and
Political Science.<br>
<br>
The Senior Lecturer will have a research specialisation in one
or more of the following fields: Korean culture, including
digital culture; Korean modern history; International Relations
or International Political Economy, with a focus on Korea/ East
Asia; social studies of contemporary developments in science and
innovation in Korea/East Asia. They will have an outstanding
record of publication; experience of providing research
leadership; and a record of winning funding for research and/or
knowledge exchange activities. Applicants will also have a
proven track record of teaching excellence and innovation in
curriculum development, student support and a commitment to
leadership in these areas.<br>

This is a full time, 35 hours per week and open ended post.<br>
<br>
The role is grade UE09 and attracts an annual salary of £49,772
to £55,998 per annum.<br>
