<p style="margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0">From June 25 to July 6, 2018, the Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies will organize its 12th workshop for Korean Studies. The program is intended for graduate students (MA and PhD) of all disciplines of Korean Studies,
and offers them the chance to interact with KS faculty at Seoul National University. The program intends to familiarize students with the latest research trends in a wide variety of fields, and also to acquaint them with leading scholarship in the Korean language. </p>

<p style="margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0">Morning lectures will consist of exposition of methods and trends in various fields of Korean Studies, including history, architecture, anthropology, religion, arts, politics, and literature. There will be ample time
for discussion, and on the last day students will have the opportunity to present their research project and share initial findings. Classes are given in Korean, and discussion will also take place in Korean, but the level will be adjusted with the students
in mind. In the afternoon the students can either take part in the Hanmun workshop (see below), or use the facilities of Seoul National University for self-study or research. The course registration fee is 500 USD, but students can apply for a fee-waiving
grant as well as travel support. Lunches are provided at no cost at one of the campus restaurants. To apply, please complete the online application, including a reference letter from your academic adviser. If you are planning to attend both the summer and
Hanmun workshop, you need to fill in only one application, but indicate in the appropriate place that you will be attending both.</p>

will organize its 6th Hanmun (classical Chinese) workshop. This workshop is intended for graduate students (MA or PhD) or advanced undergraduate students who have completed at least one year of Hanmun training and are interested in improving their reading
comprehension of a wide range of original texts. Since classes will be conducted in Korean, students should also have at least intermediate-level proficiency in Korean.</span></div>
