conference theme will be <b><i>Transnational Migration from the Global
Perspective</i></b>. <span class="gmail-title18">During the past two decades, scholars
and librarians around the world have greatly increased their interest in the
study of transnational migration and related archival materials. M</span></span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif" lang="EN">any migrants maintain various ties to their homelands while they are
incorporated into their adopted countries. The study of transnational migration
has emerged as an inherently interdisciplinary field across borders, even as
the political and cultural salience of nation-state boundaries remains strong. Therefore,
the 7<sup>th</sup> </span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">WCILCOS
conference will </span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">expand its scope from overseas
Chinese issues to a wide range of topics concerning transnational migration.</span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"> </span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Scholars
and librarians are inseparable partners in academic pursuit. This conference
will bring them together to examine critical issues related to transnational
