(AAS) Northeast Asia Council (NEAC) offers Korean Studies grants as a result of
generous funding from the Korea Foundation, but the grant deadline is fast
approaching. </span></p>
<p style="line-height:125%"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;line-height:125%;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#383838">Grants are available in the
following categories: North America Research Travel; Outside North America
research travel; Korea conference/seminar/workshop <u>organization</u>;
invitation of a Korea distinguished speaker (see the links below for
details). </span></p>
<p style="line-height:125%"><strong><span style="font-size:10.5pt;line-height:125%;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#383838">The grant application
deadline </span></strong><span style="font-size:10.5pt;line-height:125%;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#383838">for all but the NEAC Distinguished
Speakers Bureau lecturers is<strong>
Monday, October 1, 2018 at 5 p.m. EST. </strong>Award notification
will be made in late November 2018. Projects must begin <u>after</u>
December 1, 2018 and <u>be completed with grant reporting provided by</u>
November 30, 2019 to be considered. </span></p>
<p style="line-height:125%"><strong><span style="font-size:10.5pt;line-height:125%;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#C41C1C">Please note: research travel
and workshop/conference applicants must be <u>current AAS members</u> at the
