communication, and organizational skills to manage the Center for East 
Asian Studies large constituency and various administrative

member, the Assistant Director, to perform these duties:<br class=""><br class="">60% Program Development and Implementation<br class="">-Assist the Director in the formulation of the Center's ongoing vision, strategic plans, and year-end evaluations.<br class="">-Assist
 the Director in ensuring the Center's compliance with all regulations 
of its grants and awards, particularly the Title VI National Resource 
Center and FLAS fellowships grants, as related to reporting, accounting,
 and data on impact and evaluation.<br class="">-Manage the Center's programs and
 projects to strengthen the teaching and learning of East Asian 
languages and area studies, including promotion and oversight of the 
Center's undergraduate certificate and Ph.D. minor.<br class="">-Collaborate with
 other area studies centers at the University and network with other 
East Asian Studies programs nationally and internationally.<br class="">-Seek 
sources of internal and external funding, including governments, 
foundations, and donors, and write grant proposals and reports, 
including the future Title VI National Resource Center and FLAS 
proposals, in consultation with the Director, the Steering Committee, 
and the University as appropriate.<br class=""><br class="">20% Administration <br class="">-Oversee
 the Center's daily operations; print, online, and social media 
communications for internal and external audiences; and management of 
the Center's budget. <br class="">-Work with the Assistant Director and supervise student employees in event management and outreach activities. <br class="">-Represent the Director and the Center in meetings, committees, and events on and off campus, as appropriate.<br class=""><br class="">20% Instruction and Student Support<br class="">-Teach
 1-2 undergraduate lecture courses and undergraduate or graduate
