is a peer-reviewed Korean studies academic journal published biannually in
March and September by the Institute of Humanities for Unification (IHU) at
Konkuk University, Seoul, Korea. Launched in March 2015, <i>S/N Korean Humanities</i> offers a forum of debate for scholars whose
methodologies, theories, and conceptual frameworks for the study of
inter-Korean division and unification contribute to supporting “humanities for
unification (<i>T’ongilinmunhak</i>)” as
distinctively defined by the Institute.</font></span></span></p><font color="#000000" face="굴림" size="3">

original works and book reviews for the March 2020 issue. The special theme of
this issue is “<b>New Research on Korean State
Violence and Healing</b>,” as a tribute to the victims of the Korean War (1950)
and the government’s suppression of the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising (1980).
The perpetration of state violence rooted in ideological conflict have locked
the Korean people’s attitudes, emotions, and even the unconscious within the<i> habitus </i>of division. For the March 2020
issue, <i>S/N Korean Humanities</i> seeks to
highlight the latest cutting-edge scholarship on new interpretations,
memorialization, and healing of relevant cases including, but not limited to,
the Korean War and May 18. The March 2020 issue will discuss the consequences
of Korean state violence and the different ways in which they are either being reinforced
or reconsidered. <span>Successful
contributors will be paid on publication in accordance with the journal’s
remuneration standards.</span></font></span></p><font color="#000000" face="굴림" size="3">
