<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt">The <a href="https://www.asianstudies.org/about/governance/councils/northeast-asia-council-neac/"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Northeast Asia Council</span></a> of the Association for Asian Studies is holding a listening
and information session on Monday, July 12 at 8 ET/7 CT/6 MT/5 PT. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt">The purpose of this session is to gather feedback from past, current, and potential future members of the AAS about how the Council can better serve specialists of Japan and Korea. Current Council members are also prepared
to talk about the various funding opportunities we provide, how to craft a successful application, and how nominations and elections to the Council work. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt">We would appreciate it if you might share information about this listening session with faculty and graduate students in your department. We are particularly eager to hear from students about how the AAS can better serve them.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
