</style></head><body><p class="norm" style="font-size:12pt;"><b>6 Year Postdoctoral Position in East Asian Studies with a Focus on North Korea at the University of Vienna</b></p><p class="norm" style="font-size:12pt;">The Department of East Asian Studies, the Chair of East Asian Economy and Society (EcoS), and the European Centre for North Korean Studies (ECNK) are searching for a postdoctoral researcher. </p><p class="norm" style="font-size:12pt;">We are looking for a candidate with a Doctoral/PhD degree in the Social Sciences, a background in Political Science, and a research focus on North Korea. We require an excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 Level), which is our working language. Excellent command of Korean and a proven ability to conduct research in that language are expected as well. Command of German is an advantage, but not a must.</p><p class="norm" style="font-size:12pt;">The position will be for a maximum of 6 years, starting in September 2024.
