It also sheds light on little-known aspects of North Korean diplomacy, including its internal mechanisms, networks, and international practices. It does provide insights into North Korea\u2019s drone program, a rarely discussed but increasingly important subject in contemporary security debates. In addition, the book examines the role of ASEAN in North Korean foreign policy, illustrating how Pyongyang engages with regional dynamics. Beyond geopolitical analysis, it describes the everyday lives of North Koreans living in Europe, highlighting constraints, adaptations, and lesser-known realities. Overall, it presents a personal account from a former member of the North Korean elite, without ideological positioning or political affiliation, making it a potentially useful source for researchers, diplomats, policymakers, and those interested in international relations.

The French edition is available here:
https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0G6SMT7BZ
and here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G6SMT7BZ

The Polish edition is available here:
https://www.amazon.pl/dp/B0G47VWM1D

About the author
Nicolas Levi is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
