I actually wanted to teach at a small liberal art college where I would get to know my students better, and would\u2019t have the constant pressure to publish\u2014and or have to deal with the inflated egos of some colleagues. Unfortunately, back then I didn\u2019t have many alternatives other than Boise State (which I left be closer to my son in Seattle) or UBC. In your current job, I assume you get summers off. That should allow you to do a little research and writing, if you want to continue to do so.<br><br>I hope the heat isn\u2019t too bad for you down south.
