This issue has been fixed. Not really sure exactly since which version of MS Office (I am using 16.41), but you can now again enter han'gŭl within the MS Word text and produce hanja right there. That suggestion does not really work ... only in the most simplistic way. When you do that you loose all formatting (even such basic formatting styles as Italics), and worse, you loose all footnotes in academic texts.
