[KS] male dancers in Korea

Hello,
Can anyone suggest articles or books on the subject of dancing in
traditional Korean arts--(and especially male dancers)?  I'm not a
Koreanist, but am doing a study of Korean popular youth culture, and find
that, in the '90s at least, dancing has perhaps an exaggerated importance
when compared to pop music in other parts of the world.
Can you point to any historical factors to help me contextualize this?
