Dear everyone,

This is to inform you that the Monash Korean Studies Program has set up
a Korean message board to promote collaboration, cooperation, and
networking between learners and teachers, between learners and other
learners, and between learners and native Korean speakers. I need your
help to make it going. It would be greatly appreciated if you tell your
students to visit the board and post messages or if you drop a few lines
yourselves. Any messages (in Korean or English) regarding learning of
the Korean language and culture will be welcomed.

I also suggest that we, teachers, use the board to discuss about
teaching of the Korean langauge.
As you may know, the Korean language area has many problems such as
dearth of learning and teaching materials.
One of the ways to overcome these is to share ideas, experiences and
resources.
The reason I am not using a separate message borad or mailing list for
the teachrs' forum is that, I believe, learners not only can benefit
from teaching related discussion but also can contribute to it.

The address is as follows:
http://www.arts.monash.edu.au/korean/centre/resources/communication/cooperative/

Please circulate this message to your colleagues in the Korean teaching
area as many as possible.

P.S.: The Monash Korean Program is restructuring its Web site (
http://www.arts.monash.edu.au/korean/ ) and going to add more learning
and teaching materials. It's still in the beginning stage but your
comments will be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
