The December meeting of the Chosenshi Kenkyukai will be held Saturday,
December 18, from 1:30 pm.  This month's speakers are:

Shin Ch'angu.  "Colonial Rule in Choson and the Kenpei Assistants
System: Its Formation and Development"


Book Review:

Hamanaka Noboru.  "Kodai Higashi Ajia no minzoku to kokka," by Yi
SOngshi.  Tokyo: Iwanami shoten, 1998.


The meeting will be held at the Kanda campus of Senshu University, Room
304.  Senshu University is near the Kudanshita and Jimbocho stations,
and is a short walk from the used bookstore district known as Kanda or
Jimbocho.
