Teaching Fellow in Korean

The Department of Asian Studies at the University of Copenhagen
considers
to advertise a postition as Teaching Fellow in Korean Studies beginning
1
August 1999, and is interested to have some advance idea of the possible
interest in such a position.

The position as Teaching Fellow (amanuensis) is a full-time 2-year
appointment (not renewable) to be in charge of the teaching of Korean
language and civilisation together with part-time teachers. The Korean
Studies Programme is connected to the East Asian Studies Programme. An
associate professor is connected to this programme.

Appointment as Teaching Fellow does not require a Ph.D. or similar
research
qualifications, but a degree at least at MA-level would be normal. The
department is also interested in information on possible candidates at
the
level of assistant or associate professor.

The department has programmes in Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Thai/South
East
Asian, and Tibetan studies.
