Dear Yoon-whan Choe,

I am trying to find out about a competition which was a national (or 
possibly, international) search for a librarian to be responsible for 
spending several million dollars and one year, selecting a collection on 
western thought for a major library in Korea (between 1989 - 1996?).   I am 
afraid that that is as much information as I have, and since I don't know 
the name of the institution and whether it is in North or South Korea, 
 searching the web has not been of help, except that I found the Korean 
Collection Consortium of North America.   Though I understand your group 
deals with collections about Korea in the west, I feel that you will have 
been aware of this competition.   I would like to find out the details of 
the competition, the responsibilities of the 'winner', and the name of the 
individual who was chosen for this honor.   Any information, or resources 
for information, you can send will be greatly appreciated.   Thank you for 
your help and time.
