Hear! hear! for what John Harvey has had to say.  In both mailings, the
points about the growing capabilities of the computer (and the
short-sightedness of making "permanent" decisions on the basis of an
dynamic technical medium), about the use of the breve and other markings,
on the points of the flaws of the questionnaire -- it's attempt to get at a
system, while leaving the system behind -- were all wonderful points, well
made.  You've said what a lot of us are tired of saying.  Good for you,
