Dear List:

While I was away in France for the last couple of days, some apparently
virus-contaminated materials were sent to the list; I greatly hope no
one was victimized by this action.

Two suggestions:

1) NEVER send to the list any kind of email attachment -- discussion
does not require it.  If you need to refer to a file somewhere, by all
means give the web address in a text message, and members of the list
can check it out if they wish.

2) NEVER open an email attachment that is a Microsoft Word file or .exe
file unless you are VERY SURE of its origin.
