[KS] need assistance / Macintosh

Hi, hope all of you have a nice Sunday!

Later today I will be posting a longer message regarding the new Mac system
OS 9 + fonts and about Microsoft Office 2000 + fonts.
Actually, the new standard Unicode encoded Macintosh fonts that come with
OS 8.5 and OS 9 already include all fonts needed for McCune-Reischauer and
Hepburn -- and so will the Office 2000 fonts !!! (I will explain this in my
next message in greater detail.)

I like to ask for assistance. I am using an old Mac LaserWriter Select from
1991 or 1992 that isn't compatible to any Mac system later than 8.1
(although it works fine with all Windows os). I'd need someone who is
runing OS 9 and someone else who is running OS 7.6 or 8.0 or 8.1, but with
a newer printer than mine. There is a VERY quick and easy way to update OS
9 fonts to *access* the "transcription" glyphs already in there via normal
keyboard input -- in any program, also programs that don't yet make use of
Unicode encoding, but I only see the characters on screen, my printer
doesn't print them. This could be my printer or it could be a logistical
mistake I made. So ... can you help me? I would send you a small font as
attached file via e-mail.

Frank
