Hi- I am working on my Masters thesis on" Tradition and Modernity in the
Republic of Korea." My major objective for the research is to study the
recent trends in South Korean society both in respect of its traditional
value system and the evolving modernization process, to assess the role
of Confucianism in the transitional phase.
Will appreciate if anyone could suggest some sources or help me in
a better understanding of modern Korean society. I am translating some
Korean material and have looked into works of Prof. James Palais, John
Duncan, Hahm Chaibong, Donald Clark, Robert Buswell, Yoon Yee-Heum,
Martina Deuchler and few other. Will appreciate to get
further references and insights into the role of modern day society and
influence of Confucianism in Korean society from late Choson to present
age.

Thanks & Happy New Year
