I wanted to bring to the attention of the readership a "service" avaible on
the internet. It will sell papers on any number of topics. I wish to
alert those who may teach courses related to Korea to watch out for papers
that strike you as strange in any way: they may have been purchased from
this site. For example, if you have seen a paper on the subject of Korean
women and modernization, which refers to a Japanese law school, or a Korean
law school, or to "Confucian" rules for women's behavior, AND cites such
unusual sources as those that follow, beware: You may have been slimed by
a purchased paper.
Anonymous, "Korea: Women's actions to stop sexual violence against women,"
from WIN News, 1997;
Chungee, Sarah Soh (sic) , "Sexual equality, male superiority, and Korean
women in politics..." from Sex Roles: a Journal of Research, 1993;
Kim Myung-hye, "Transformation of family ideology in qupper(sic)-middle
class families in urban South Korea," Ethnology, 1993;
Lee, Aie-Rie, "Consistency of change..." from Policy Studies Journal, 1996;
Jenny Lesseur, "South Korea: working women demand their due," UNSESCO, 1998.
