There is a section on 'white (hUin saek)' in Han'guk munhwa sangjing sajOn
(Dictionary of Korean Myths and Symbols: Doosan-Donga Publishing Co. Ltd.
1992) on pp. 647-650. It consists of short articles by various folklorists
including SO ChOngbOm, Kim SOnp'ung, Kim T'aejun, etc. A useful short
bibliography is also included at the end.

For a comprehensive study of colour symbolism in Buddhism, you may like to
read Dance of Colours: Basic Patterns of Colour Symbolism in Mahayana
Buddhism by Jan Slavik, published in 1994, by Goteborg: Etnografiska Museet:
Goteborg.
